TRANSITION TO TRIUMPH
Our emergency shelter can provide you a safe place to escape while transitioning to triumph. Women and their children are welcome to stay at the emergency shelter for up to six weeks while they cope with life unexpectancies to get back on track. Most women with families suddenly find themselves without a home, income, or loss of critical documents to help them sustain a healthy life and we give them the hope of empowering their lives in a positive direction. Our emergency shelter sits at an undisclosed location and each person staying in our shelter attends weekly group therapy sessions for the duration of their stay. Our Care Advocates and Case Managers will help them transiton in setting up a new life while they work towards self-sufficiency.
Some families are not in position to move on independently, so after a family has completed the six week stay at our emergency shelter, long term housing is an option where they're provided the tools and resources to sustain safely and build a better future.
The "Clothes Closet" is a great place to bring all of your gently used clothing for women and children. The Center for Empowering Hearts clients are able to shop in our closet at no cost and each client can choose from several garments need it be clothing for an interview, school, or daily living. Some clients fled their home and left everything leaving them with only the clothes on their backs, so our agency would love to provide reassurance to have clothing. By donating your items you will greatly become part of the our solution to help those work towards self-sufficiency and joining our mission in ending domestic violence. All donations are tax deductible. Please ask for information when making a donation.
